CLEANUPS Staging area is at the BLM Box Canyon trailhead, 1/4 mile past the 2nd river crossing on Rincon Road, unless otherwise noted. Cleanup schedule 2025/26: Jan. 24, 9-12 Feb. 28, 9-12 Mar. 28, 8-11 April 25, 8-11 May 23, TBD if needed Location: BLM parking lot at the end of Rincon Road, Wickenburg. GPS: 34.03432 degrees North, 112.74001 degrees W. Take Rincon Road off of 93, go 3.2 miles, crossing the dry river twice and the parking lot is 1/4 mile after the second crossing. We supply: vests, grab sticks, buckets, bags, vinyl gloves, hand sanitizer, water, coffee and donuts. Bring work gloves and wear a hat and closed-toe shoes. Organizations/businesses are needed to sponsor monthly cleanups. No funding is required, sponsors recruit 5 or more volunteers. Contact [email protected] for more information.
Bureau of Land Management - Arizona For National Volunteer Week, (April 2025) we’re sending our thanks to Wickenburg Clean and Beautiful. Since 2020, Wickenburg Clean and Beautiful has held regular clean-ups of public lands around Wickenburg and raised public awareness on responsible recreation. Through their efforts, they removed 21,000 pounds of trash from Bureau of Land Management and state lands last year. They also regularly meet people recreating on public lands, and they provide education activities and events to organized groups. Wickenburg Clean & Beautiful Volunteer Opportunities AMBASSADORS Work in teams of two or more to greet OHVers at the Box Canyon trailhead, hand out trash bags and PIPO decals, and encourage people to pack it in, pack it out. Supplies provided.
CLEANUP SPONSORSHIP Clubs and businesses recruit 5 or more friends and co-workers to assist with a scheduled monthly cleanup. Sponsors will be acknowledged on this website and social media.
EDUCATION/OUTREACH Develop bilingual outreach materials and activities. Present education programs for OHV and community groups. Participate in community outreach events. Recreational Area Clean Ups Help pick up litter at Wickenburg area public recreation sites.
